P1000 Pioneer 1000-5 in bed of truck

I wanted to haul my new Pioneer 1000-5 and my camper at the same time so I built a custom bed hauler. I started working on it while the machine was still on order. I estimate I probably have about 50 hours into it. I have airbags on the back of my 1/2 ton GMC for the extra weight, and I made it so it stands up on the bottom so that I can install the rack myself. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

I've taken it to Northern Michigan several times and also driven it around my town and have only gotten thumbs up from the police. Hopefully it continues that way....

How do you secure the jig to the bed? And how does the truck handle, seems like with the camper and bed load it would be at capacity???

I would take the roof off if easily done, it is a big air scoop up on the bed of your truck at that angle. I like it though, great execution of solving a problem.

I welded (6) angle clips to the truck frame and it is bolted down through the bed with 1/2" Grade 8 bolts. It handles surprisingly well once you get used to it!
