I'm curious if anyone knows the correct exhaust valve lash for the pioneer 1000-5. The book says .012. It looks like everyone on here is saying .009 though. I called the dealer, they told me they do whatever the book says because they have to. Help!

I should add that yesterday I did the first service on the machine with 154 miles on it. At that point I checked all the valves, the intakes where all at the .006 and all exhaust valves at .009 except for 1 at .010. So I adjusted that one to .009. The dealer was closed when I called them yesterday, after 5pm. Today when I called they said they go to .012 because that's what the service Manual says. So I went back In and adjusted the lash to .012. The machine seems to run the same regardless. Maybe a tad bit more tick at .012 but that could just be in my head. Still very quiet.
