Only have 2,928 miles on my Pioneer 520 but it is time for a report. My air filter is still as clean as new. I made sure it was installed properly so the crank case vent system was against the foam air filter. My under roof pre-filter works great. It looks like it will be good for around 10,000 miles. The 32 inch rear tires give a 50 mph top speed so I cruise at the high 30’s and low 40’s. 45 mph is fast enough for my long rides. I use the 28’s for sand rides so I can use 4WD. The valves were loose so it was worth taking it apart enough to do the adjustment. I changed the front and rear dif oil this time. I remove the skid plates to do a careful inspection for any problems or damage. My Walker Evans shocks work great and are well worth the cost. I have back trouble so I installed a high end bucket seat. I can install the stock seats in 10 minutes if I take a passenger. We have some great 50 inch trails so the little Pioneer was a must have toy. It was fun doing the improvements.

The large 32 inch tires gear it way up. When the speedo indicates 40 my GPS says 50. At 100 miles on the speedo my GPS says 133 miles. The gearing is perfect for the fast rides, and I can hit the rev limiter in 5th at 5,000 feet elevation. The part I like about the large tires is I can change back to my 28's for sand wash and 4WD.

I'm careful not to damage a rear tire. If necessary, I can put a 28 on the rear at 30 psi and run the 32 at 3 or 4 psi to limp it home. A 24 on the front is no problem.
