28s will fit......But if the tire size runs large or later on you get mud flaps or such,It will rub in extreme conditions. I will never run anything smaller again.
27s are the ideal size for the stock 700.
I run 28s on fox shocks with a 2.5 super atv lift.
The ride is amazing and 14"s of clearance.

When I bought this machine I would have laughed at you if you told me I need to lift it...Now I wouldn't have stock setup again.....
You hang out here on this forum and accessories become your new fetish:D

I run 26" ripsaw tires on stock deluxe P700 wheels. Stock setup. If I had it to do over I would probably go with 27" tires. I'm happy with the 26" tires I have as far as ride and fit. If I were to go to 27" tires, I would probably go up to 14" wheels instead of the stock 12" wheels. I just hated to get rid of the deluxe model stock wheels that I paid for with the machine, so I kept the stock wheels and upgraded the tires.

I have 28x10 all the way around. I can tell it has some power loss with 4 people and going up hill

weight of tires is going to have more of an effect on power loss to an extent. Heavy mud tires in 27 will effect power more than a light 28. I have run 27x12 and 29 x14. Nothing wrong with 12 inch rim. Will give plusher ride than same diameter tire with 14 inch rim. I run big horns because both new sets were give to me and they are light and a great all around tire. Anything bigger than a true 27 and a lift is a good idea
