Still. That's impressive for a Honda. I bet with some hot footing and a little techenique you could close that gap.
Thanks for posting.

I'm pretty sure the general is quite a bit faster than either of those 2 it's basically a razr 1000s

That is a Can Am Defender with 72 hp so they should be close, real close.

The General is in a different class and is not intended to compete with the Pioneer and Defender. Believe me when I say you don't want to pick on a General in a drag race. Just stick with the utility class.

The General and Commander are what need to race because they are a cross between utility and sport.

I wonder what mode the Pioneer was in?

I'd like to see them race with 300 lbs in the back or pulling a loaded trailer.
I agree I want to see which is better pulling a load, and even pulling up hill

The gap stayed the same after they got going. It probably came down to driver ability.

The lighter 3 seat model may beat it. Both will smoke the Ranger.

Until the Ranger 1000 gets here,,,,,, soon.
Unless Polaris decides to up the tune on the 900 to RZR specs. 75 hp should make it about even.

But I think most of the manufacturers are trying to keep the power about even with everyone else on these utility models. 70 or so horsepower is plenty for what these are used for.

P1000-5 is 1700lbs, Defender is 1400lbs. Its over 20% heavier which makes a big diff in a drag race.

After the last can am i had, I'll either keep this pioneer or get a ranger. It was the biggest piece I've ever owned. Nothing mechanical, but electrical problems out the wazoo
