Hello! I purchased a set of Tusk Terrabite tires. When they installed them they put in about 32psi of air. The ride is alot rougher than before. Someone suggested to run about 10psi. Will that make a difference on tread wear, or affect the turns? Thanks in advance.

That shop is idjits, the Pioneer tire spec is ~14-16 lbs. That tire is probably rated for a max TP of about 25 pounds, it's embossed right on the sidewall.

I run my Achilles Desert Hawk MT 30x9.50r15 DOT Radials at around 14-16 PSI.

I run my Super Swamper Sniper 30x10-14 Radial on beadlocks around 10 PSI.

Tire pressure doesn't really alter turning radius. You have to be into "racing" to get that dialed in.

Theoretically tire pressure effects tread wear. Typically on the pioneer you won't really notice it. Bad alignment, pavement, and dry rot will most likely be your Achilles heel before tread wear cause by tire pressure becomes an issue.

Keep enough air in them to keep them seated on the wheels. Low air=soft ride.

I don't think I would recommend anything lower than 10PSI without beadlocks.

For sure drop your tires down to 14 without a doubt.

When you say “installed” them, do you mean mounted on the rims or installed them on your rig? If it’s the latter I would check your lug nuts to see if they way over torqued them. If they put 32psi in the tires they may have torqued the lugs to 200 lb/ft and you’ll get to see one of your tires pass you on the trail….

32 is way too much.

Our 23 P1k-5 calls for 20 psi on the door. I’ve been running about 17 psi with the Terrabites. We do a decent amount of running on pavement otherwise I’d probably drop them a bit more. Lower tire pressure will create more sidewall flex making it squishier when turning at speed.

I’m not settled with the pressure yet, still trying to figure out what we like best. So far this with the Fox shocks on the softest setting has been working ok for us.

I would say 32 was seating psi.12-15 psi will be your happy place.I run about 15-17 with the plow on.

running 12. non bead lockers. perfect and evens out the wear a bit.

definitely agree w/ ODAMO above, check your lugs. they may have way over torqued them. better to know now than when. you need to service the machine at home or more importantly, on the trail.
