Is it possible with the dual battery isolator kit to have the radio connected to the second battery, but also tied into a key on circuit withOUT pulling current from main battery?
Electrical dummy here ....... any particular type relay needed and any directions on hooking it up would be much appreciated.Yes. We'll not totally 100%.
The only power would be from the key-on circuit. Like 1ma.
Thats why most use relays. To move the majority of power to the battery of choice.

You have this in the Store? Does it go between the 2nd battery post on Isolator and fuse box?You should have something like this between the second battery and the fuse box. Then everything pulls off the second battery except the key-on power which is not a concern.
80-AMP Battery Isolator or Relay - Compare to Stinger brand.

Thanks Scoop, you explained it well. The continuous relay (the one from the Club store, the Stinger, or the Cole Hersee, whichever you get) is connected between the positive post of the aux battery and one of the two main posts of the relay. The other main post on the relay goes to the positive side of your fuse block (and you ground the negative post on the fuse block). The two smaller posts on the relay are for your 12V source that will energize the relay to connect the aux battery to the fuse block when you turn it on, whether that is key-on power (e.g., use the key-on power harness from the club store or a switch that gets 12V from the battery itself. The isolator itself has nothing to do with powering accessories, per se.
Oh, not sure what year your Pioneer is, but that link for the key-on power harness is for 2016-2021. There is a different one for the 22+ in the Club store.
