Just a heavier duty steering box is all. There is only one in the machine, it’s what the steering wheel controls to make the wheels turn.
The only way you’d really need to be worried is if you were taking out tie rods (front steering bars) and went aftermarket heavier duty with would send any damage up the line to the steering rack.
Good idea for running long length control arm and portals as well.
With that said an upgrade is an upgrade, a good deal on one and I’d install one in mine happily lol.

Can the steering ratio be changed? I guess I should ask can it be changed without increasing much cost because I assume RB3 is reusing the stock gear set.

We had the rack and pinion made. The Rack in is a 1.125 chromoly and we changed out the internal. no more plastic its now with a metal bushing. the housing is also a billet housing now as well. I was just waiting to see if there was enough interest on this group to run the raffle. The steering ratio at this time is the same but we have been looking into a faster ratio but that would be further down the road.

Thank you for the feedback.

I was thinking a little bit lower gear set to help with bigger tires or portals.
