FOrd ranger rear bumper seems to be perfect size for pioneer. Is this mod worth doing. Issues with bed dumping and clearance. Found the pic with bumper installed on google but can't find thread again.

Not really the kind of thing I'd want to in my machine. What are you trying to gain by adding a bumper?

I originally thought added protection for the bed and exhaust because I ride in thick country but after looking at bumper and p1000 I'm quickly realizing the effort of building bracket, out weighs benefit by a long shot.

That 2nd pic is mine from square body S10. I took 4" out of the center not long after that was taken. I loved the way it looked. Mounting brackets were easy to make. I'd still have it but a friend admired it more than me.

I completely understand lol. It looks great on yours. If I do it. I'll put Bedliner on it to black it out and I'd rather have s10 bumper but ranger came cheap lol. Hate using FOrd parts Did your bed still dump? I'm debating on letting mine rotate with the bed or mounting it low enough for clearance which won't look right I don't believe

No it wouldn't dump with that step bumper. But it only took me maybe 30 seconds to remove it with an impact. It was mounted where rear cage bolts up. Here's a tube bumper I made. Bed did dump til I installed the pod lights on bumper.

Have you started a build thread yet? If not, be sure and do one. To document what you do with your rig.
