P1000 Rev limiter?

Is the rev limiter rpm' s the same for low and high range? The reason I ask is yesterday while in low range my 1000 was hitting the limiter in the 6000-6500 rpm range.

I would think the rev limiter is the same in high or low.

Just drove mine. In high & low cuts off at 8k rpm

I know the tyrex limits you to 11 mph when the front diff is locked up. I know thats apples to oranges, but maybe honda wants to protect the front drive train when in low?

There is also a speed limiter for low. It will cut out at 35mph regardless of rpm. So if you hit 35mph at 6500rpm, then it will cut out at 6500rpm bc you reached max speed for low.

In waiting for the beef to finish in the smoker, I was reading through a few posts..... We just finished an ice storm this morning and I had our Pioneer out as I had to run to the shop. I was in turf mode, on the road, and bumped the limiter at about 8k. It's also good to know that the limiter comes on at a given speed in low range. Man is this thing fun in the winter on icy roads!
