There’s no reason when you can buy an aluminum hawse for less than $20

KFI came with a roller fairlead and I used it the first couple of years. Been running the hawse for a couple yrs now too. IMO the roller causes less wear plowing but for pulling at awkward angles, I'll keep the hawse.
