Yes I had them on a sand rail several years ago. They work good but not great. On a 10 scale I would rate them a solid 6 compared to a 10 for regular paddles. I used them a Dumont Dunes because there is quite a bit of rocks and hard packed that you run thru there. Standard paddles get easily chunked where Desert Masters have much more durable paddles and no chunking.
