Do any of you have any experiences with portable saw mills? After I get my land purchase in order. I’m going to need to do some clearing and this property is thick with big trees. I’m gonna have to thin some of the forest anyway so I might as well turn to lumber what I can. Thanks

Probably less expensive in the long run to talk with a couple local sawmills (like the one on the highway to Brevard near Mills River) and get them to custom cut your logs

I think he is referring to the property he just bought in Idaho.

My father has a WoodMiser LT10. It’s a cheaper model but it will cut a lot of wood.

Practice on cheap wood first before you attempt that prized oak or what ever.

A good chainsaw mill will do small jobs but it’s not for high production.
