So close to.pulling the trigger. Waiting on final numbers, and put 200 down on a deluxe to hold it.... but here's the obvious post question, hang onto a 2009 teryx le for the kids or trade it in and opt to get a 150 ranger or something along g that line. The teryx would need some throttle blocking or.what have you to keep speed down, but trade in is roughly 4. 150 are any where from 3 to 6 depending on what ya get...just looking for thoughts... thanks all!

10 is the oldest. She drives it pretty good with me next to her, but i know it's too much machine with out limiting the throttle.
Plus is its paid for, and I'm the only owner.
Bad is its big.

Personally I would keep the teryx. I had a 2010 that I just sold. You cant kill the thing. Plus the kids will out grow the 150 and it will not be worth much then. I would reduce the throttle and put spacers on the teryx.

If it were me...I'd go for smaller and trade.
With that said I had a Teryx and loved it, but it had tons of power I'm not sure a 10 - year should have unsupervised (just my opinion).
Our kids wrecked mine with just a simple slamming of the throttle hitting a tree, just way to much power, the damage wasn't that bad but enough that it bent the tire & A-arm into the frame just a little and although a welder could have corrected it for $50 they totaled it.
When I was on the Teryx forum everyone was talking about a programmer you could put on it that had the brother in law switch (or young kids lol).
I don't recall which tuner it was though.

Tough call. A big factor is what can the teryx be dialed down to? It's still a big machine for a small child to handle.

I completely agree. I love the machine, just the pioneer fits my other three little ones perfectly to go with me. Good point above of the out grow factor, another good point size is large.

I agree 100%, loved loved my Teryx but nothing beats the Pioneer hauling them grandkids around 😀
Not to mention all it’s other neat features. The Tyrex was also more expensive to maintain.
