I have a pioneer 1000-6 with about 500 pounds accessories, roof, gear and driver that is always in the machine which should put me around 2700 pounds. I

f I add 5 other adults/kids it could add anywhere from 600-800 pounds lets guess so that could bump up to 3300 -3500 pounds.

There is also a TTC 6 inch long arm kit which i know will mess with the geometry and require a heavier spring rate (or preload) becuase you have to add the spacer if you have a 21 and below and not running the stock shock.

The new stock shocks from 22 and beyond dont require a spacer to get the 17.5 inch needed from eye to eye. I am running Fox QS-3 2.0 Shocks but need to swap out the coils.

The current specs for FOX QS-3 are

Front 14 Inch Length
ID 2.5
Progressive Spring Rate is 252/350
I currently have about 3 inches of preload added (I KNOW IS WAY TO MUCH)
The spring length compressed is about 9 inches

Rear 15.25 Inch Length
ID 3.0
Progressive Spring Rate is 187/350
I currently have about 2 inches of preload added (I KNOW IS WAY TO MUCH)
the spring length compressed is about 9.25 inches

This has been the only way to get the correct 17.5 eye to eye i need to get.

I was thinking of going with:

Front Viper Coils 14 inch 350 lb rate Linear
Rear Viper Coils 16 inch 400 lb rate linear ( i have seen people that have 1000-5 get 14 inch rears and have to add a 1.5 in preload)

Anyone have any recent experience with this that you can share? Or tell me what you have seen, would do in my shoes. I have seen others talk about 300 front and 350 rear but that is without TTC lift which i feel like you will need to add a 1 inch preload out the gate if you dont have stiffer springs. Figured that getting little extra longer of spring would help with that.

Thanks!

My Eibach’s did just fine for many years and I had used various loads and used pre load and arms for my lift. Can be found in my P1K5 build.
Lots of threads up top on the spring rates and changes examples…
