Hi all I’m a first timer here with a new pioneer 1000-5 base. Does anyone have the Superatv split windshield and the overhead SSV works 4 speaker unit? I just tried to add the speakers and the clamp on the rops for the windshield are in the exact same place as the speaker J clamp is supposed to go. I sent an email to tech support at SSV but they are closed on the weekend. Any ideas would be appreciated.

There is a j clamp that wraps around the front bar of the rops and a netting bolt you have to remove and replace with a longer bolt.

I don’t have an answer for you but I have that same system and I’m not that impressed with it. I’d be anxious to hear your feedback when you figure it out.

I think i have it figured out. Amazing what you can do when you sleep on a problem. I removed the superatv top clamp on each side. Installed the SSV works per the instructions. I had a couple of small 1.5” L brackets laying around and attached one leg to the netting bolt and the other to the window frame where the clamp used to be. Problem solved. Ill paint the bracket with some black to hide it. I hope this helps anyone else with this problem. Now to hook up the power and see how it sounds.F5265e06895aaa1425d3f0aff31b89617c5bd127962dccf84deb9af03a97eee5

I ran into this problem on mine too, I just measured it out and cut the brackets to where the part is about 1” wide. Haven’t had any issues with it, but I do like the simplicity of the “L” brackets in the netting bolt hole.

Here’s how I modified my SSV Brackets to work with the SATV Flip up Windshield and the Honda Roof.
