It still runs like new. I'm doing a lot of solo rides now. Both of my RZR buddies have had lots of break downs. It's so bad I ride in the back. Both are over $10,000 in repairs and that's more then a $1.00 a mile in repairs. Both have extended warranty but the down time Sucks.

My Tusk Terrabite 30's have over 9,000 miles on them now and it looks like I will get another 2,000 miles out of them. The large heavier tires hurt the low speed suspension performance and the 5th and 6th gear performance in the sand washes. My 2020 Talon with the stock tires is better in the sand so I use it for the Fast Turbo Rides. My average speed it 22 mph. We do a little Rock Crawling too and it works great.

Glad Honda has produced a product that can compete with a RZR in performance and continue to outlast those piles of junk. So many of the guys we used to ride dirtbikes with have gone to Polaris in the last few years. My GM took his Talon down where I live for an event and most of them left with their tail between their legs.

Heres to 12,000 more happy miles!!

Time for another oil change at 12,731 miles. I have been wanting to try the Honda 10w40 HP4M Synthetic Blend with Moly in my sub trans. I use it in my M/X bikes where the engine oil is separate from the transmission. Got 253 miles on the sub trans oil and it is shifting like a brand new one. I really didn't think it would make that kind of improvement. If your having a hard time shifting into low on a cold start I can recommend the Honda 10w40 HP4M Synthetic Blend with Moly. I was thinking I would have to get my sub trans rebuilt before I sell it at 20,000 miles. Now all it needs is a new seal for the rear driveshaft at the sub trans. I don't have to add oil to the sub trans but it seeps just enough to make a mess. I had to take my little Suzuki on my remote solo rides. My RZR buddies are broke down a lot so I do a lot of rides alone.

I agree with the synthetic oil in the engine, transmission and sub transmission. It made mine way quieter and shift easy as can be. I happened to use the mobile one 4T.

No the clutches will slip. I use Mobile One 10w40 full synthetic motorcycle oil in my engine. There is no clutch in the sub trans. Most motocross engines have separate oil for the engine so the Moly additive is no problem. Just got back from a 110 mile ride and the sub trans is shifting better then new. I don't know why the Talon sub trans is slightly stiffer to shift then the Pioneer 1000 but there is some different parts and a different shift arm.
