This is going to be a one week long adventure that begins in Montrose Colorado and travels east to west across the Uncompaghre Plateau and on to Moab Utah and returning to Montrose Colorado for a total of 7 days and 350 miles, not including any of the six or so side trail trips that we may make. The group will rendezvous at the trail head on the west side of Montrose early Sunday afternoon August 29th 2021 and set out to the first nights camp. The next day we will continue along the trail, with any side trips decided upon and make camp again along the trail. The next day we will continue along the trail arriving Moab in the afternoon and stay 2 nights at the Inca Inn motor court.
While in Moab we will explore a trail or two there, replenish stores, and fuel, and whatever else is of interest and then rejoin the Rimrocker Trail traveling west to east camping two nights along the trail and taking in any side trail trips we missed on the east to west trek arriving back in Montrose Saturday afternoon September 4th 2021 where we will have a room Saturday night and then all will return home on Sunday....
We have secured a decent discount for blocking out 10 rooms with two queen beds each at the Inca Inn motor court at Moab. The rooms are $100.00 a night.
