I would like to see how you keep the bears from getting to the corn, we have wrapped trees with tin, used steel cable with pulley / winch to lower the feeders to no avail.Loaded up, to leave out in the morning for MO. Got 350# of seed for plots, 5 feeders to be mounted to elevated timbers and trees to keep bears from destroying them. Gonna put cameras on all the feeders, but the corn will be all gone before hunting season.View attachment 84940View attachment 84941

Lol, well it aint no guarantee ...... just a HOPE that it will work out. If it don't work, I will stop putting out feeders. I am hoping they will not be smart enough to rip the winches off the tree or be able to break the cable. Time will tell. I will post up some pics later.I would like to see how you keep the bears from getting to the corn, we have wrapped trees with tin, used steel cable with pulley / winch to lower the feeders to no avail.
Got 2 rains after planting and some seed had already germinated before I left. Hoping this depression takes plenty of rain to Mo.Nice! Just seeded my food plots the first week of August. Will be going up next week to see how there doing? Got a decent amount of rain the last few weeks so they should be good! Good luck on your planting and be safe!
The bears didn't rip the winches off, I think they some how climbed the tree with tin wrapped around it slid down the 10 foot cable to the feeder and never got the feeder on the ground??????Lol, well it aint no guarantee ...... just a HOPE that it will work out. Pic of bear was about a month ago. Neighbor had pic of bear day before I left. Feeder hanging from tree limb is about 3.5ft away from tree truck. It was MAJOR work getting those 4x6 timbers that high tree for one old man by himself. Lol ...... dang nearly killed me!I would like to see how you keep the bears from getting to the corn, we have wrapped trees with tin, used steel cable with pulley / winch to lower the feeders to no avail.

Not sure what you mean? Do you mean it should have been HIGHER and hanging down further from the timber?Your tether is not near long enough.
Yep! We've put the top pulley 30 feet of the ground, 15 feet away from the trunk, 10 foot tether and corrugated tin around the tree 10 foot tall and they still figured away to get to the feeders, think we have flying bears here! Not sure what you mean? LOL ..... wish I had known that to BEGIN with, I would not have wasted my time, money, and energy. I guess I am screwed and it will all be destroyed when I go back.Yep! Well I guess I got lucky. All 3 of the hanging feeders are still attached, with no damage. Many pics of single bears, one large, one smaller. One pics of 2 together.
