AWESOME! thanks for posting this up. Great pics, love the "cleanout holes" will let us get rid of 300 pounds of accumulated crud easier.

That's a great! I'm glad to see the aftermarket catching up.

I agree that the front needs more protection.

Just have some extra in front of the rear wheels... But if you own a jig saw you can fix it right up.

Trail Armor Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Full Skids

I want!!! It looks like they are also working on the A-Arm guards. I might call and see what shipping to Alaska will cost.

Anyone know if the Trail Armor skids are good quality? In comparison to the SSS Offroad skids?

Shipping to Kodiak Island, Alaska for a 60lb skid plate was in the $300-$400 range depending on how small the box was. Y'all are tough folks living up there but its also tough to get anything to you.

Why would you do business with SSS Offload? they have incredibly horrible customer service, there is an entire thread on the forum discussing that fact.

Anchorage will be a little bit cheaper but not much.

I ordered the 28" ITP Blackwater Evolutions off Amazon today (free shipping with Amazon Prime!). Stealership wanted $400 to ship 4 tires.

Good to know about SSS Offroad, I haven't researched them much. I might wait until I see the Skids on Amazon.

With these full skids looks like in hot areas it would make the cooling system work harder. Anyone running a full skid have any heat issues?

I am using them in Alabama heat in a 700. I haven't had any concerns. Not sure if that helps someone know about the effects on a P1000.

Ran it on my 700 in Alabama in August and September 110-115 heat index it was hot in general but engine never overheated. I had all the original holes the factory 2014 skids did, cleaned it out after driving though brush or whatever never had fire issue either.

Okay. So why the "clean out" holes in the 1000 and not the 700? I am claiming pure ignorance on this one. It seems the holes in the 1000 skid plate would allow garbage to accumulate underneath.

A question for those who have these. I did watch the install video with the vehicle held up on one side, but how do most folks do the install, on a lift of some sort, or can it be done working under it?

Both but if you're older than 18 a lift even a chain lift to the front bumper is NICE!

I added clean out holes to mine. It was very hard to clean mud, sand, leaves out without having the holes.

After adding the holes, I have noticed no difference in leaves and grass packing in there. It's always been bad even before I drilled the holes.

I have noticed that it will drain the mud and sand ALOT better with the holes.
