I remember the days of all those straps and BS, what a pita! With the setup I run now I can be hooked or unhooked in mins. The wife has even commented "well that didn't take you long". With the chock straps it's not moving. Still throw a couple straps on the back just for peace of mind. Someone posted these awhile back and they made that operation way easier too. They retract on their own so none of that extra strapping to deal with and if there's bounce and any slack occurs they just get tighter.

I just refurbished a trailer I got and put etracks in. Did a trip last Wed with a total of 3 hrs in trailer. 520 never budged at all. Super easy and quick to tie down. I also just snugged the straps down until they were tight and that was it.
This is basically the way cars are strapped onto flatbeds now. I really like this as there is no stress on any parts of your machine, and it just rides on its suspension over all the bumps.
The close up pic was just a pic I found as I only have the pic of mine sitting in the trailer. I’ll take better pics the next time it goes in the trailer.

Hi all,

I just took a trip that was about 140 miles after I put this all together this morning. My 520 didn’t move at all. Pretty easy to install on the trailer itself.

I will say that my trailer is damn near too small to haul around the P520, But I think it will work for the few times that I need to drag it around.

I am hoping to bring home my new to me 520 this weekend. It has the hard plastic roof on it I will be trailering it on a landscaping trailer. Do I need to remove the roof for trailering it I will be towing it at highway speeds for a about 1.5 hours. Also are there good tie down points or should I say what is the best way to strap it in?
Safe to trailer it with the roof in place. On my p500 I do run a small ratchet strap across the roof from left to right with a slight bit of tension on it to minimize the strain on the roof mounting points. We get a lot of wind in SE Arizona and there are times I’ve had a relative wind speed of over 90 mph when bucking fierce headwinds while trailering the rig. I use a bit of rope to connect to the bars at the safety netting.

Dude He's asking about the roof not the wheels and the machine
Well dude! Lol
If you read his post, he did ask about the roof, but he wanted also to know the tie down points for the machine as well, as to why so many sent pics of there set up also.

you should not have to strap it down but it never hurts ...make sure to check the front hood the dealer sometimes forgets to latch these

Erickson tie downs are the only way to go in my book. Quick, safe and easy to use. Just be sure that you securely anchor the brackets to the trailer.

Took the virgin trailer to the dealer and loaded up the 520 to see how it fit on there. Then was able to determine the right spots to drill the four bolt holes into the trailer frame to permanently fasten the CargoBuckle G3s to it. Bolted them on and hooked the retractable straps and hooks to the D-ring in back and frame in front. So nice because there are no straps dangling and it is fast. When you unload, the 6' straps automaticaly retract. Only drawback I see is I hope the ratchet mechanism holds up fine for a few seasons outside in the weather.
