They could buy a lot of goods much cheaper from the US.

I believe they hsd a sniper with the longest confirmed kill of 3,540 meters (2.2 miles) until a Ukrainian sniper came along with one at 3,800 meters.

And, many who served with Canadians in WWII onward were very impressed with their deduction, bravery and fighting skills. Whereas, you'll see French military rifles for sale that include in the description... Never used.
