I am considering buying a used 1000-5 that needs new tires. Is anyone running Tweels? Looks like they are an inch under stock and more narrow in the back.

They are pricey but my wife works for Michelin so discount brings them down to reasonable level.

It would work, could run spacers on the rears to even out track.................why would you thought........ 🤷‍♂️

I think it would ride like crap, but........I honestly have no experience with (Tweels)

Consider handling and your terrain???

EDIT: Max speed rating 50.......that'd be a no no, and they weigh 50#s........she's a big'n.....mehh

I can't see buying those, but I would really like to try a set on my machine to see how they ride. I'm guessing stiff. I run my 30s at 15lbs, and I know how much stiffer they are at 23.

Wheels, I run 6 + 1 x 7 up front and 5 + 2 x 7 rear, the track is stock and same width front to rear, no spacers. Call Race Line Wheels.

If you really want to do any serious off roading you will want a big tire. Like 30s aired down way low to conquer rocks and keep enough ground clearance.

And 30's mean different A arms. Real skids, high clearance A arms, 30 inch tires were the best improvement to our P1 and if you have some cash left over buy real shocks.

So judging by the comments I’m guessing nobody posting has any real world experience with tweels.
Yes, there good on military vehicals cuz of there reliance to artillery fire of all kinds and sharp Obstacles. There heavy, bog down power and not good in mud. You loose about 1/2 to 3/4 traction power in mud and snow Compared to traditional tires, they were better on trucks equipped with diesels cuz of the low end power They have. but you can feel it in the peddle

Those suckers would probably weigh 100# each after a mud hole, lol.

That's exactly what I was thinking, all them cross sections holding mud etc. I know they constantly flex, but how long to clean out if fully packed when going through a deep rut with peanut butter mud. I think that is a nightmare waiting to happen off road. Desert terrain may be fine.
