P700 Under seat fan

Summer is here. SC heat was cutting down my ride time so I added a fan under the seat to lessen the engine heat from coming up under my lower back. I have previously added foam heat shielding like others have done. This helped but riding in 90deg+ temps wasn’t very fun. I am really happy with the results of the fan. It stops most of the heat from coming up under the seat.

It’s kind of hard to see, but the fan is tilted at about 40deg or so to blow the heat down and out as much as I could

I like that! What kind of fan and where did you get it from? I assume it’s just another radiator fan

I have seen where people wrap their Harley pipes and some racing headers. And it helps cut down on the radiant heat on other surfaces and your legs. But they stay rather clean and not caked in mud like our 700s.Some people claim that the wrap caused their pipe to become brittle and start cracking.I believe that the wrap actually made mine run hotter too.
I only ran the wrap for one summer and took it off after I saw posts of pipes cracking from what appeared to be from wrapping them. Also I was concerned over warranty issues with having it on.

Wrapping the pipe did help. It also made it a little quieter. The fan is an 8” radiator fan I got from Amazon for around $30. This has made a tremendous help with the heat.
