Is it possible to use the steering wheel mounted speedometer on the 700 on a 1000? And are they the same?

Hi,
Welcome to the club... Anything is possible...
I haven't seen anyone retrofit the older units to be on the steering wheel tilt.
Now, the newer 700's have this, however they will NOT work with the older ones.

Thanks.

Thank u for the answer. Reason I ask is I am a big dude, and I just picked up 1000-6 2024 model. When I get in I have the steering wheel tilted up pretty far and it blocks the Speedo. When I was at the dealer I checked out the 700 and saw the Speedo on the steering column. I could see it perfectly. Also they looked identical. So I figured somebody had tried the swap.

Not the fix you're looking for, but if you run a tablet for nav you could run a GPS speedometer app and overlay it on your maps. Pretty much any size you want.

Or even if you don't use a tablet with maps, your phone on a mount with a speedo app.

I rarely look at my speedo
