When asked, They said only the front arms were moved back in relation to the 2022 models. So did they move front a arms back 2.7 or change frame ?
?????????When asked, They said only the front arms were moved back in relation to the 2022 models.
This combined with X steering rack components led to a 2-foot increase in turning radius for the Talon R model.
Is the X steering rack lack the travel of the 22 R??

Travel..Is the X steering rack lack the travel of the 22 R?
Then why did they put the X SR on a 23R?Travel..
Yes, that's what the X vs R was designed for.

Ok. Let's recap for you. Then why did they put the X SR on a 23R?
My bad, thought you said increased turning turning radius, that make since! I've changed my opinion about the i4WD, with the addition of the front locker added, wonder where Honda got that idea? HA!Ok. Let's recap for you.
The 2022 R has forward arms vs thr Xand a rack made for the long travel.
The 2022 X has a rack that allow for better turning.
The 2023 "S" model is the same as the 2022.
Remember "S" Model = a 2022 model.
For the real 2023 R models, honda moved the a-arms back 2 inches and used some parts of the X rack to give the new 2023 R almost 2 foot better turning radius.

Bad newz, Dood - there's no front locker, only i4wd. 😢My bad, thought you said increased turning turning radius, that make since! I've changed my opinion about the i4WD, with the addition of the front locker added, wonder where Honda got that idea? HA!
Not from what I understand?Bad newz, Dood - there's no front locker, only i4wd. 😢
I hope you're right and I'm wrong. Anyone sure of this, one way or the other? Not from what I understand?
Lol.. that was just your bad dreams you remember. Hahaha. LolNot from what I understand?
A 700cc 50 inch wouldn't be a Talon.Also worth noting.
They said several times.....
The Honda Talon Family is COMPLETE!
I still think a 700cc, 50-inch Talon would be awesome.
Just to add - the reason for that is CV angles. The X's CV angles are less than the R's due to the angle the axle intersects the front wheel (further forward on the R resulting in sharper angles). Learned from someone a whole lot smarter than myself. The X vs R rack is just the housing width, the R rack is wider and the tie rod bottoms out against the housing before it turns further.
We made a X rack out of a R rack by machining down the ends until our RaceCo rack came in.
