Just wanted to leave an updated review for the Viper Winch Mount.

I had a 3000lb Champion laying around collecting dusk. A couple of weeks ago all the rain got the best of me and I decided to slap it on the Pioneer. It took a lot more than just the plate (little did I know when I started), but I was only able to find 1 other review on this mount (thanks to @Hondasxs).

Mount was super simple to install, and even came with the adapter to make my shorter fair lead work with the 6 inch pattern on the Pioneer bumper. I ended up purchasing a 6 inch fair lead and not using it anyhow, but nice feature.

The mounting plate bolts right to the front of the frame, and the pull sits maybe 1/2-1 inch below the fair lead (this was a big complaint about other mounting plates when I was reading up on the subject). It really isnt as bad as it looks in the pictures.

At 45 bucks shipped it was significantly more cost effective than other options. All in all, two thumbs up from me!

Thanks for the pictures. Will help other buyers looking st the viper mount.

Looks like the cable is still at a slight angle but it's not too bad.

I would definitely say the pictures make it look more dramatic than it is in person. I snapped several but you are pretty limited once its all back together on angles that will be useful in a photo because its such a tight space.

I would also think that most of the time when you are winching, you are going to be anchored at a slight upward angle from the front of the vehicle. With that in mind, I think this mount's positioning is darn near perfect.

I should have included the link up top. Here it is:
