I installed the winch and new bumper on mine. Then I had to ADD miles to it. Southern Idaho Desert with the world famous Sun Valley in the background.

Made some hard mounts for my cooler so aint gotta mess with straps anymore. Pics when i get them painted.

Couldn’t find anything either.

Bought the shackles themselves on eBay then DIYd the plates on the front and back of bumper, and then powdercoated. Have been strong no deformation of the bumper.

Found these on EBay. A little paint and a few holes and I’m set.

That looks like them but I doubted The surface area of the back plate being adequate

Edit: You can kinda juts see the backplate with 6 grade8 bolts on each.

I went back and forth on the idea of added reinforcements. I’m going to see how this does over the next few weeks and revisit if necessary. Thanks!

I felt like it’d be fine on a thicker bumper but the pioneer bumper is so thin I was worried. May do fine, but without bad luck I wouldn’t have any at all and it would pull through at the worst time.

Todays projects completed on the week old 1k.

Bimini top, rear view mirror, winch, cup holders in all 4 doors, vent lines extended.

Taking it out for a few hours tomorrow for her first shakedown run to see what the wife thinks behind the wheel on the trails.

I stopped at the local Napa and bought something like this for $12, mine only has one wire and grounds to the roll cage. Switched at my switch panel.

I appears to have 2 led lamps in it. Haven't used in the dark yet. Will tonight and get back to you .

My wife came out to the shop tonight to see the progress on her 1000-5 and we noticed our daughter having a bit of a hard time with the rear door handle. Its still new and she will figure it out but along the way i found a simple 2 minute solution for other short people like my 7 year old that can barely reach over to find the handle.

Now as long as she can get a finger tip on the strap she can just pull up on it and pop the door open. Drilled 1 fairly small hole just big enough to roll up and force a piece of 1" ratchet strap i cut off and tied in a knot. No more door handle problems for the little ones back there.
