I bought a '24 Talon X2 in Sept. Traded in a '23 Wolverine 850 X2 R-Spec, lost my a**. Essentially $20K OTD, but in reality it cost me $30K to own a Talon that rides like absolute SH*T cuz I wanted a Talon cuz I figured there's no way a sport machine with long travel suspension could ride as bad as sport/utility machine and I drove a razor 1000 that rode like a marshmallow, so I assumed the Honda would be as good.... boy was I wrong. BUT, no more CVT, endless transmission maintenance, and engine droning away at 6,000 rpm all the time. AND, that 10 year belt warranty that Yamaha brags about is straight up B.S. . Wow, got totally off track here....Sorry.

I know you're not happy with the stock ride quality and I get that. But spend the money on shock revalving (springs ain't gonna get it) and live happily ever after. Talons are good for many times the mileage as PooPoo or Canned Ham. I have 16k on my '21 R2 now with no problems other than 3 torn CV boots (at which time I replaced the CV joint too).

what he said - smart man

before all the other crap 💩 of windshields, winches, stereos - my advice is to get the valving/springs - your back and ass will thank you for it .

Happy new Year!!!

Excellent advise!

Also, don't call ST if you want good shocks. 😆

Double E Racing, G Force Racing Technology or Schmidty Racing are the companies you should call for proper shock tuning.

Searched and did not find a thread for this on talons...kinda getting an itch...anybody willing to share? Are we generally paying msrp yet or are dealers getting more hungry
You might rephrase and ask out the door price. So many things added after the selling price. And of course you would need to account for the difference for each state's sales tax.
