When the plow is raised there is only 6“ of clearance with using 27” Terrabite tires.
I was thinking of using the stock tires for plowing. The stock tires are 24” Vee-Rubber.
Has anyone used Terrabite for plowing?
Has anyone had any problems with the stock tires for plowing?

You'll be fine with either. I use the stock tires with chains for plowing. They work excellent with the chains. Much better then the 27" vampires, which work decent as long as it's not icy. 👍

Thanks.
I got 2” of wet snow Saturday night and was disappointed in the Terrabites. The Terrabites were great all summer, but not in the snow. I have some chains that were on an ATV last year, will see if I can get them on the stock tires. Will post more when I try the stock tires in the snow.

Just looking at the pics I'd think the stockers will do better. A more open tread and rounded profile will help them clean out better. Try adding preload to the front shocks for plow season. Curious as to how those Terrabites do in the sand?

Dave75, stick it out till the next storm. 2" on warm surface may have been greasy crap that may have sucked with anything. Neighbor plows his whole yard for two years with an Outlander 1000 on those 'bites and seems to have no problems. Some of it could be that thumpin' V-twin not givin a bleep what kind of tire is underneath it......

And throw two 50lb sandbags on the back of the machine. Weight is what you need for plowing. I told this to my neighbor who plows with a 500cc atv, and he couldn’t believe how much it helped.

I add 500lbs to my truck when I plow depending on the type of snow and how slick it is underneath. It make an unbelievable difference. My plow is 13.5’ wide when fully flat. Pics added just cause :)

Thanks for the replies, this is all good info.

I am going to try the stock tires with chains on the back.
The stock back tires are wider than the Terrabites. The Terrabites are all the same size.
I was going to give the Terrabites more time until I read MacGyver’s reply. The p520 would not move in 2wd with 2” of wet snow, the plow was not on, both my ATV and truck did. If the stock tires do not work out, I can switch back to the Terrabites.

I have been plowing for three seasons with the 500 on stock tires, no chains and no locker. Only got it stuck once on a tall bank trying to push the bank back. The wheels came off the ground with the skids on the pile. Otherwise traction has been fine. Good luck.

Are you concerned about the frame height because of tire size? Some manufacturers have plates that can account for machine height difference.

Stock tires are on the P520. Installed chains on the back tires. The 1st photo is the Terrabites on 4+3 wheels. The 2nd photo is the stock tires and wheels with 1.5” RB3 spacers in the front. Just need some snow to test them out.
