Which Drawbar would you use for the 2021 Honda Pioneer 500 ?
I am wanting to Pull a 14 foot boat trailer with aluminum fishing boat and trolling motor and also a flatbed trailer on the farm.

So I am going to need a ball Mount with a rise

I read in the Manual that it has a 1 1/4 Hitch but it does not say if it is a Class 1 hitch.

If the Pioneer 500 is a class (1 )hitch then it can only use a Class (1 ) 1-1/4 and Not a Class (2 ) 1 -1/4 ball mount right ?

So is it a class 1 hitch ?

What ball hitch would you use for my purposes ?

Thanks

Many of us (myself included) have installed the Moose hitch which has a 2" receiver. Then you can use whatever insert you want.
I really like mine.

Alternatively, I think Honda offers a drop bar with rise for the factory hitch location.

Agree…Do the moose or similar mount if there is any chance of up/down motion on that factory hitch location.

This is what I use pulling smaller boat/trailer and wood trailer with 2" ball and no issues. 6" riser I believe. A couple welds to keep it from swiveling. IMG 1563 copy

As @futzin said, the Moose receiver is used by many. Here is a link for installation which shows not only how to install, but on page 3 post #51 is a great photo of the Moose mounted. Farther down that page post #60 is a photo of the 1195CMP mount from MFG Supply which I have on my machine, as you can see, they are almost identical, I chose the MFG because at the time it was less money than the Moose.

Same. MFG on mine. Was a simple bolt-on, a few bucks cheaper than the Moose, and was the only one in stock at the time.

Has anyone installed the Moose 2 inch receiver kit on a 2023 P5?

Do you mean the Moose hitch? If so, it fits any P500 as they are unchanged at that area, pretty sure. I have one on two P500s and one P520. It's a nice hunk of metal. Just make sure not to tighten any bolts until all four are just started . . .

Incidentally, I really like the Komodo 3 way ATV receiver. Works really well for the P500. One item for property/trail use.

It has gotten kinda hard to find. They may not make them anymore. I just ordered one off of e bay.

I just recently installed on on my 2022 P520. There are a few pictures of mine and some from other P5 in this thread:

There were a couple minor fit issues: it bolts right on for some people, others find that the upper mounting holes on the Moose hitch are just a hair too far apart. Some can get the bolts in with just a bit of "persuasion". In my case, I put a carbide burr in my cordless drill and slotted the holes in the hitch just a hair inward, and the ones in the P520 frame a hair outward in order to get the bolts through.
