Hello All,

A friend of mine gave me a new 2500 lb Warn winch. It's was intended for a Kawasaki Brute Force. Would this be adequate for my Pioneer in most situations? Carry a snatch block to double it?

I would not put less than a 4500 on a 1000. A lot of people have struggled with recovery using a 4-5k winch in a single line pull and drawing down the battery significantly. Low battery voltage can cause issues with the power steering and transmission function. I've used my 4500 with a snatch block several times and I have been impressed with the pulling power.

I would not go to the trouble of a 2500 lb winch install. Save up for a 4500 like Todd said.

Don't wast your time with it . Put a 4500 on it. If someone would give me car tires I wouldn't put them on my truck.
Good analogy. Guess I'll ebay it and get the 4500. Brand new in the box with mount for Brute Force.
