P1000 Yeti cooler in 1000-5

Was just at REI checking out Yetis. Does anyone know what the biggest size will fit with bed extender and lay flat gate cables for the 1000 Deluxe?

Lol! I have 5 people to think about. Mostly when on big family rides we haul alot of hotdogs,hamburgers, and all the fixins along with the pop.
I suppose it would work as a full mag of Silver Bullets too. Ha!

My 45qt fits fine with the bed extender.

If you don't already have the bed extender, you may try and get one made that fits your 65qt Yeti, being as they are so expensive to begin with might be a less costly route.

Just ran across a post from Happy Honda in the 700 forum. He made his own bed extender that is wider. Looks like the imagination is the limits.

I just heard back from a Yeti 45 owner and it will hold wine bottles upright. So I can just go to YETI website and check measurements.

Just letting you know my yeti 35 will not fit with clearance with the Honda bed extender. It will fit, but the top of the ice chest rests against the back of the seats and prevents the whole bottom of the yeti from touching. Does anyone know if longer tailgate cables will fix this?

Yes i have do have the new cables. It will be the first thing i ad when the white one arrives in April. I also plan to make a custom bed extender but first need a machine in my garage to look at and ponder ideas. I hope to extend past the tailgate for larger cooler/duffel bags. If i do the metal roof i could put a rack up there but thats another issue. Ha!

Hi. I have not put new cables on yet. I have been just strapping a cooler on the back without a extender. Would like to make own extender but have not really needed one yet. My regular igloo is square and it rubs topside also.
