Yea, side mirrors get ripped off going through brush. Just use a rear view mirror inside. I have this one with the tempered glass. Works great. The clamp is low profile so it doesn’t interfere with the top.

I added side mirrors to my 1000-5 but am not happy with them. Which rear view do you guys prefer?
I have the honda enclosure (with soft upper doors) I have had two different outside rear view (OSRV) mirrors that mount to the front cage and they are blocked by the upper door sills. I am thinking about adding a lower OEM hard door mount system but still needs to be fold away style. I am thinking that it will be total fab on my part.

I've got the Honda OEM rear view in my 3 seater. I like it but it's cost more than most. It's uses the clamps like on the honda roof and glass windshield and is easily removable and adjustable. The mirror I have in my other rig, cost about the same and is heavier built but you have to have a Allen wrench to adjust the angle and that sucks.

I have koplin mirrors on my 700, been there for 5 years and have not have any get ripped off in thick brush. The one on the passengers side is cracked because it got stuck between the roll bar and a tree but other than that they have been flawless. I cant use a center mounted mirror, too much stuff in the way and it would have to hand to low and get in my field of view.

I couldn’t see past my sound at with my first rear view mirror, so I ordered this one. It is awesome. A lot longer... and sturdy. EBay

I seldom use the inside mirror, using the side view is more natural to me, don't have to tilt my head back to use inside mirror.

Rear view mirrors suck, at least for the 500. Ordered a cheap one, it was crap. Ordered the way over priced Honda one, modified it to sit where I wanted it, further out and down. Still sucked. Ordered Kolpin side mirrors and that was the ticket. They break away if you smack them and I ride quad trails. Rarely even glance at the rear view anymore, it's just there to hang fuzzy dice on.

I had side mirrors and wasn’t a huge fan. I got the seizmik halo rear view mirror with built in led map lights and red/green/blue low light illumination. It was a bit pricey but I really like it and it stays put.

I have the Honda OEM rearview mirror inside. I figured the side mirrors (Although I would prefer them) would be knock off or at lease moved by brush. It works fine. My only use really is to see what is coming up on me if I am running on a county road.

I just installed the same. But it required a longer bolt on the clamp. Overall seem like a real good mirror.

Here is what I went with, I like so far. They don't stick out very far so the chance of smashing them on something is not likely. They swing in as well if needed for tight trail.
