Does anyone run 26”x8”x12” tires on the front and 26x10x12 on the back with stock wheels and no spacers?

I want to keep it 50” but get as much ground clearance as possible. I’m not worried about tipping since all of my riding is low speed knarly trails. I carry a small come-along and snatch blocks in my tool box for such occasions.

I run 26x9x12 fronts and 26x11x12 on rears on stock wheels no spacers. This might put me at 51" but i have never put a tape to it. I'm perfectly happy with it. I have found no perceptible difference in lateral stability from the stock set up. The one extra inch of clearance does make a difference in certain situations and I'm still able to go through all the 50" gates.

I run 25x10 in the back of my machine and found with stock wheels your are only about 48” in the back. You can run 1” spacers in the back and still be 50” wide. I ran 1” in the back for a while and it definitely helps with stability. I now run 2” back and 1” front spacers.

That’s weird. I measured mine with the stock 24x10s and it’s right at 50”.

Not sure what could be different. My machine is a 17. I would think the shock setting could change it some but on my machine I had 50” front 48” rear width. When I added the 1” rear spacers the outside of the rest tires were flush with the edge of the side of the cab.

This is a great place to start and lots of info....

Pioneer 500 Wheels and Tires

Interestingly enough, this thread is posted in that forum. And yes I did search through it before posting this one. Most are running 26x9” instead of 26x8”. It is not uncommon to get checked by the forest cops on some trails here, so staying 50” or under is important even if I could fit through the posts.

@dpnorth - I cut the outer ring off of a second factory rack, copped some short spacers and added expanded metal. Then welded and painted it. Not the most price friendly way to do it, but I wanted the bends to match perfectly.
I use to ride Tates hell state forest in Carrabelle every year in march.
