I have been looking for a P 500 for a while now since I sold my RZR. I found out that I only joy ride the RZR with friends about 2 times a year. Rest of the time I am running hunting property or just driving my little girl and wife around the casual trail. So, I think the P 500 will fit me perfect. Plus I am not looking to break the bank completely.

I have found a 2015 green P 500 that appears from the pictures to be in great shape. 2nd owner and he is an old guy. Uses it to run around the black top. He bought it with 300 miles on it and it has 900 miles now. Has brand new tires, but stock size. He said the factory tires just got bald from the hard road and he would show them to me. That says to me that he spent most of the time on the black top.

I know to check the CV boots and slop in the bearings and such. I will also check the airbox and stuff and look for mud or water signs.

Anything else I should be looking for? He will take $5,500 for it and that seems to be on the cheaper side for the P500 in my area.

Anyone give me their thoughts I would appreciate it...

I'll buy it for that price! Sounds like you know what to look for when buying used. 900 miles isn't alot of mileage for a 2015. It might be a tight squeeze to carry momma and daughter at the same time. Do a fit test.

Daughter is only 2, so she rides on momma's lap. No dangerous stuff with them on board. Also has a 3500 pound winch, honda roof, windshield and a light bar already installed. I am going to look at it tonight, but taking the trailer as well. I expect to buy it based on the pictures, but you never know until you get there.

Anything else in particular I should look for?

I think you've covered it. Look for obvious signs of abuse, other than that these machines are bullet proof. You're definitely getting it for a good price but the money you're going to save will go right back in once you're bitten by the accessory or mod bug. You're getting the best color too. ;)

I would check the area's where the axle's go in the differentials , also the area where the drive shafts go in the tranny. you don't want to see any wet spot in these area's.

Let us know the outcome !

Sounds like it already comes with all the stuff people would normally buy after they buy their P5. I would think $5500 without all that stuff would be a decent deal. That leaves money for wheels and tires, stereo, etc.. get that summummabiotch and show us some pics!

Planning on getting it in a couple of hours hopefully. Wheels and tires will be the first thing. 24" is not going to cut it in the mud of WV. Any issues running 27" tires? I would like to go with 27" if it does not rub anywhere...

Im not sure what size tires you can run before they start rubbing. Search the forum. A lot of people on here do the frame mod so bigger tires wont rub. I did the frame mod and could turn 30s lock to lock without them rubbing. Its not too difficult of a mod if you got a welder and a cut-off wheel. I dont know how to show people links or i would show you. Good luck to you!

I put 27" on mine with 4+3 offset wheels, doesn't rub & frame mod wasn't necessary. Good luck with the purchase.

One thing you might consider while getting all prepared for riding is a complete baseline service on the machine. I purchased essentially the same unit and for about $80 you can change the engine oil, air filter, oil filter, front/rear differential fluid and spark plug with all genuine Honda materials and would give you a good piece of mind and opportunity to look it over closely....

Also, be sure to post some pictures of the P500....

So I think I may have gotten a good barn find. This was in perfect condition for a 2015. The guy was about 70 and him and his wife would ride it up and pick gensing. Other than that all black top miles. Has superatv 3500 pound winch, windshield, Honda roof, nice led light bar and a box on the back. Don’t really care for his box, but everything else was cherry. For $5500 I couldn’t pass it up. Here are the pics, I will get better ones tomorrow after I clean it up some more.

Congrats, nice looking ride and you stole it for that price! Keep that wallet out and dust off your tools. Looks like that winch switch needs some attention already. :D
