How do you like the Frontlines? I almost got them lasttime around, but settled on the BFG KM3's. My rationale was that these tires were more mud-aggressive than I needed in my normal riding.

I'd like to look at them next time. Sand performance has been below my requirements with the KM3's, but then, these may not be much better there.

I love the frontlines. Mud, trail, and street they’re awesome. Really smooth ride. Sand, they’re ok but do tend to dig instead of float.

It’s addictive. I’ve watched so many “how to” videos and read so many posts about modifications. The first one I started with was the dual battery set up. I also used 2 relays when I did it along with a hidden push button that activates all the accessories without the key on. FYI…when the key is on, engine hours are adding up.
Once you have the flexibility of 2 batteries, it opens the door for lots upgrades with electronics.

I also used 2 relays when I did it along with a hidden push button that activates all the accessories without the key on.
I used a DPDT Carling switch to accomplish this. No need for a second duty-rated relay.

I’ve never heard of these. I’ll have to read up and learn how to wire it. The 2 relays were fairly simple.

Correct. It has nothing to do with supplying power to the OEM electrical circuit (e.g., dash display, initiation, etc.).

My accessories are powered from a fuse box that obtains power from the 2nd battery. That fuse box is energized one of two ways:

When the DPDT switch in the key-on position, the fuse box is energized ONLY when power is sent to the relay (completing the circuit that powers the fuse box) from a key-on power source (a circuit only powered when the key is on).

When in the AUX position, the relay circuit closes (to power the fuse box) because 12v is sent to the relay from an always-on power source (e.g., directly from the battery).

When in the middle position (the DPFT is an ON/OFF/ON switch), the fuse box is NOT powered at all, regardless of key position.

In short, the switch in AUX position powers the relay so it thinks they key is on by using 12v always on power.
