Count me in for a set- if I was home I would help with the 700 2 inquiry. Be back in a few days, if no one chimes in on the request I will!

Thank you

In your fourth picture are you doing a cap for the small square tube as well? Left of the larger cap in pic?

Working on it. And the round tubes in the frame just behind the wheel.

Count me in. It seems odd that Honda would have left so many open ended tubes. I am already seeing a little rust in them.

are you guys sure plugging these tubes is the right thing to do? these plugs aren't water tight and it would seem that trapping moisture inside the tube would be more likely to cause rust than an open tube that would dry out between wettings.

Yes, you're correct, if moisture is allowed to builds up in the inside of tubes, it will rust. I plan to use a marine sealant when installing the plugs to make them water tight; keeping the moisture out is the better option.

Re: Pioneer dump bed frame caps! R U interested?

are you planning to apply some type of rust converter inside the tubes before you seal them up? I know mine already have some minor rust inside of them. just sealing them won't stop the rust and I would almost bet that the change in temps will cause moisture to build up inside of the tubes. my experience from working in a fab shop for a bit and then 10 yrs in chem plants the only way to really keep the inside of a pipe/tube from rusting is to keep it under a constant n2 purge to keep both moisture and oxygen out.

Re: Pioneer dump bed frame caps! R U interested?

i just went out and looked at my 2 seater the only ones that are open are the 2 beside the receiver hitch 4 on the front of the bed frame and the round ones on the front end as shown here so the 4 seater must have alot more
