My late grandfather Cliff Haglund introduced his sons into hunting and our family cabin at Sturgeon Lake back in the late 60's. We are four generations now using the same two cabins and hunting in the same area since. There will be 12 just in my fathers family and possibly 7 in my uncles family heading out last weekend of September. These pictures show my dads family equipment & gear and my uncles family pretty much has the duplicate plus a Nodwell and Argo. We usually have wall tents set up beside each other. This year has brought so much rain, we have opted to pull our motor homes and trailers to the area. We will still setup one small wall tent with a wood stove as a common area as to keep in tradition of spending time in a tent with wood heat. This year I found a small toy hauler for both my Honda Pioneer 500 and manageable for my F150 with the 2.7 Liter EcoBoost. Sleeps 10 and will accommodate our crew as 3 people arrive a few days later and a couple leave early. I will post pics once we are setup. We will pull the empty flat deck trailer up along the side of the toy hauler to use as a deck, taking advantage of the awning and hopefully brings less mud into the toy hauler. Dad and I stripped the wall paneling out of the little cargo trailer, built some shelving. Primed and painted and added a black stripe. Works perfect for all our gear, wall tents, stoves, generator, log splitter tools; etc. We have formally built a family cooperative where the 4th generation young adults will build their families and keep in tradition my grandfather Cliff's gift to us.
