P1000 1000-5 converted to a 1000-3

I’m thinking of removing the back part of my roll bars to make my 1000-5 look like a 1000-3. Has anyone done this? Pics?

Remove the back part and replace the roof is all I think needs to be done. Correct?

All he told me was he could put rear cage on if he wanted and he made a roof out metal or aluminum. It's been about 4 yrs since I've saw it or him. But it looked good.

My 2020 was a 3 seater. But my 2018 is a 5 seater. I like the idea of having two extra seats, but never use them. And I like the looks of a 3 seater a lot better than a 5 seater. So I’m seriously considering taking the back part of the roll cage off.

Well if that's what you like then go for it. I would think the 3 seater roof would fit. Seems like I've seen some on here that did that. If not you could make one

I did that with mine.All three passenger stuff will fit.I did buy 5 p rear fabric panel it just has a couple extra slots in it for the cage in case i wanted to put the cage back on.Just bed stuff needs ordered for a 5 pass.Plus you can change your mind or better for resale

first thing i did with mine was take off the roll cage on the back. i mostly ride alone and the twice a year i put 5 people in it we ride nice.

Thanks. I can't take credit for it though. The guy I bought it from custom made the roof. It was one of the first pioneers made so there wasn't much aftermarket options at the time.

Nothing to it just take the rear section off and enjoy and while you are at it take the rear sway bar off it will handle off road much
better

I’ve considered the sway bar thing many times, with this one and my last one. It seems kinda top heavy as it is. I’m afraid it’ll be easier to roll over if I take it off.

when I took mine off it handled the same at road speeds but had a lot more flex in the rear off road

I took off my cage and cut my roof. Can put both back on anytime. I like the flexibility of going back and forth as my needs change.

Looks good......how are you planning on attaching the rear part of the roof now though? You could make some kinda brackets to hold onto the front half maybe???
