I have a 2016 Honda pioneer 1000-5 with approximately 1300 miles on it. I have used it for riding around my 10 acre property in Connecticut but most of the miles have come from northern New Hampshire trails. I brought the machine to my local dealer this past fall because it started running like it had a misfire. It also was longer able to shift into Park or Low Gear. I tried adjusting the cable under the front hood with no luck. After spending two weeks at the dealer, they were unable to get the shift cable adjusted and I still don’t have Park or Low Gear. While at the dealer they did a “tune up” - I’m assuming plugs and wires. The machine ran “okay” on my last trip to New Hampshire last fall but it still wasn’t running the way it used to run. It sat for most of the winter in my heated garage. I took for a few blasts around the neighborhood during some of the bigger snow storms we had this past winter. Fast forward to three weeks ago and I’m tooling around my yard and it now sounds like it’s running one cylinder. It’s got no power at all to climb a moderate incline. I’m mechanically inclined but don’t have much time to mess with it. I run a landscape company that takes up all of my time and then some. In reality I’m looking for someone or somewhere to bring my machine and then go thru it to make it right. I want Park and slow gear to work and the machine to run line new again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
