Have 27000 miles on it and the Allison transmission is super smooth.

The "Allison" badge is just marketing bullsh1t, GM kept the rights to the name/badging when they sold the Allison division back in '07. The 10 speed they use now is a Ford designed 10R140/AB1V built in-house. Any GM truck w an Allison badge after 2014 has an in-house built trans. That said, the 10 Speed is an awesome transmission!

Nice truck! Have a 23’ 2500 LT with the 6.6 gas and love it. So far she has handled everything from the landscape trailer to the 10k mini ex no problem.
