I got a chance to install my new 4 point harness's today. This is a REALLY easy mod with no cutting or welding required! I was unable to locate model specific units so I took @JACKAL 's advice and bought Beard harness's for a 2012 RZR 800. Thank you Jackal! They work perfectly.

First thing to do is remove the old belts. Four 14mm bolts and you're done! Next remove the seat pan so you can take off the buckles in the center of the bench.

Once those are out of the way bolt the lap belt on the new harness in the factory locations.

And side-

Once you have the lap belts bolted up you can reinstall the seat pan and seat. Should have this-

Now the shoulder straps. These come with a buckle and mounting plate I guess you'd call it.

So what I did was remove the mounting plate thing and use the buckle on the cage-

This puts the shoulder straps right even with my shoulder. Technically they should be around 4" below my shoulder but I'm ok with this setup. Still better than stock belts! If I chop the top I'll add a lower bar for the shoulder strap but for now I'm good with this.

An added benefit from removing the stock belts is it makes a perfect spot to run a snorkel-

Excellent @Tflynn, Doesn't look too complicated either.

They definitely hold you in place, I could tell that right away. Once adjusted properly you start to forget they are there like with any seatbelt. Im planning to put some miles on them this weekend, then I'll have a better opinion.

Nope easier than an oil change really. Not sure of the configuration of the 1000's cage but you could probably do an almost identical setup on a 1000 if you were so inclined. By the way these harness's are $90 a piece, so for $180 you can add a lot of safety to your ride

Just a teaser @Tflynn, adding the Beard 4 points to my rig. When I'm finished I'll post a step by step of the shoulder mounting bracket I fabed up. Waiting for the darn paint to dry

Looking forward to seeing what you've done. After the last couple rides I decided I need a better way to mount the shoulder straps

Then I had a problem with the inside shoulder belt slipping down, so I added a tube across between the headrest

Couldn't wait for the paint to dry. So guess I'll sand and respray later.

Nice work! And as for letting paint dry, it's one of the hardest things for me to do too!

I don't do waiting well. I did unload 15 bags of ready mix and had a beer. That still wasn't enough time

One thing I would do differently is drill two 3/4 holes in the plate that the buckles bolt to. It was tough to get the seat bolts back in.

I know this thread is old, but do yinz remember the part number for these harness’s by chance? 2012 RZR is 880-220-02 on Rocky Mtn. Just want to verify before I order.
