P1000 4WD Indicator Light

After doing some major wiring work, mostly stripping excess and unneeded accessory wiring, the yellow 4WD indicator light is not coming on. Also, when the 4WD disengages, I no longer hear an audible “click” from inside the dash. Ideas?

Does it go into 2x4 and register that correctly?
Turf Mode?
Does the 4x4 work, just no light?
Does the diff lock work, just no light?

FYI,
The Turf, 2x4, 4x4, and diff lock are manually controlled via a cable.
The light is controlled by a sensor when it triggers.

The LCD indicator works. Just not the yellow indicator light. Used to hear a loud click in the dash when the 4WD disengaged. Don’t hear that anymore either.

Ok, There is a sensor on the diff that tells the computer when it is in 4x4 and diff lock.
If both work, then I would start looking there.

Not sure about the click.
I don't think my front clicks on any of them I have owned.
My 2019, the rear clicks very loud disengaging and it should not be doing that.

Started working on it's on. Hear the audible "click" in dash when 4wd disengages.

I’m sorry your Honda doesn’t leak oil. You could always just zip tie a spare quart of oil to the back of the frame and put your desired amount of pin holes in it to leave the proper size puddle for your beer break timer.

They've done that before (stopped making them for the general public is 2011) . . . think they called it a "sidecar".

My Harley doesn't leak oil I have you know.

The Honda VTX 1800, v twin engine would be my choice for a sxs transplant. Torque monster's they are and surprise the guys on the v rod' too.
I have Harleys and Hondas both. None leak

I hear Honda is offering a kit to make your Gold Wing look like a Harley. They send you a quart of oil with instructions to park your Honda and pour the quart of oil out on the ground underneath it. 🤣

Hey Harley guys, do you remember Harley's brief foray into the dirt bike era? I believe it was called the Baja 100. It was tall for it's day, believe around 1970?
