P500 520 bed on a 500

One option is to check out various golf cart dump beds with some DIY fabrication. I just fixed mounted this Yamaha Umax dump bed with U bolts to the rack, could not justify the effort to make it dump-able as I have a tractor/loader. @906UP made a dump frame for his but ended up removing it later to better suit his riding needs, (I think). There are several pages of his excellent work before and after this post link.

I priced it out once just to see, it was North of $3000 using the Honda parts and required some cutting/welding due to frame differences as @Mudder mentioned.

Boxliner & Tailgate liner Version . ( cut down to fit on P500 rear rack.)
Older Over the Rail style are of thicker plastic.
Does have tilt option built in -- although have it bolted down & donot use.

1in. Sq. tubing framework fabricated to accommodate the cut down Boxliner attaches to the P500 rear rack .
Box liner bolted inside the 1in,. tubing frame.
ALL accessories attach to tubing frame
24x48x4 ALUM. Box attached to top front provides plenty of storage & chainsaw carry location.
ALUM. Box in the rear slides in & out as needed & still have storage under the top box ( held in place between ft. box & tailgate ) tight fit only requires 1 strap across top.

Using 1in.sq. tubing & plastic kept the weight down.

Remove 6 bolts & ALL is GONE as a Unit. ( back to just the P500 rear rack )

Man.....The rack,the rack, I love the rack over the bed. I hope they don't get rid of the pioneer 500. I know they will, however, nothing good lasts forever.
