P500 Cargo box/bed

I have a 2025 p520 there is nothing under the dash. I think it's because I have a newer model but thanks for the help.

You might wanna contact the dealer you purchased it from and/or Honda. I have been on a lot of dealer pages the last couple weeks and all the 520’s I have seen have them. (Here where the red arrow points)

As shown in the thread link above, I was lucky to find 10 aluminum boxes as take offs from Yamaha Umax SxSs. Never hurts to search ebay or facebook market place.

So @swampsinger are you an official used Umax cargo box dealer now?
Looks good on the Honda, so does this mod make your rig a Hondaha or a Yamada?

Kudos for the helpful pic for the new owners @KyGal83. And that reverse lever reminded me of that useful tip to tighten the cable to never having to pull it again for reverse.

P500 Reverse Lever Bypass

Plow a lot with your P5 or use it in a way that requires a lot of backing up? Then here is a couple minute machine hack that will bypass the reverse lever so it doesn’t have to be pulled when you want to back up.

IIRC, they are on the side of the diff casings. It should be a drain bolt with a fill bolt about 2" above it.

I'd say that's about right. Since I've added larger tires and am running trails in 4WD a lot I probably don't get that much anymore.

That's the wrong way to look at it. I get a good 12 hour (half day) ride in the mountains out of a tank.

I don't know how to look at it honestly... It differs in different terrain and speed. Futz and I found that out the hard way at Hatfield and McCoy last year... after following @JayPo for a half a day (4Hours) we were sucking fumes, with no where near the milage we normally see.

For fuel mileage - it is all going to vary depending on how and where you are riding the P520. My examples:

1. Riding with friends who have 1000cc SxS's on northern Michigan 2-track trails and dirt roads where I have the accelerator pedal on the floor in 5th gear most of the ride: 1/2 tank of fuel disappears in about 2-1/2 hrs.

2. Rock climbing in Moab for the entire day - maybe travel a total of 8 miles: used 3/4 of a tank of fuel each day

3. Running muddy rock-strewn trails at Brimstone Recreation last fall: used a 1/2 tank for 3 days of riding.

So, it will really depend on where you drive it as well as your driving style that set you fuel mileage.

Ok, I phrased that wrong, I usually get a full (half day) day of good times out of a tank.
