P500 520 Trailer renovation.

The Old Trailer we have has seen better days. It's 60"x13' and fits the 520 perfectly with room to spare. I've always maintained the bearings and tires but let the decking and paint go. Well today is the day to "Freshen" it up. $200 later at Lowes and it's almost done. Rear retaining plate is on now just the rest of the screws. A monsoon just kicked in so later I'll finish it up. I've got some Black Polyurethane to repaint but It's a month or so down the line.I'll let the wood dry then seal it with some Thompsons waterseal.

Looking good. If you haven’t already secured the boards, a good time to repaint the metal trailer undercarriage if it needs it. Took a gallon of Rustoleum with a sprayer on my 22 year old trailer (it was red). Also found adhesive red/white reflectors at Harbor Freight.

Thanks, yes the metal needs a little TLC also. Just enough screws to hold wood in place but not completed yet. I will pull it back apart and do the complete frame and Thompsons treatment at the same time then reassemble.

A wire cup brush on an angle grinder made for quick prep of my trailer’s rusty spots. Best of luck.
