P1000 6ply on the 1000-5 non deluxe model.

I just realized today that my stock tires are 4 ply. That sucks. I went from my P700 with 8ply to a heavier machine with 4 ply. No wonder I thought the suspension was too loose. On my P700 I ran 4-5psi and now on the P1000 I'm running 12 psi.

Also, these bighorns are made in Taiwan. My Blackwater EVOs were made in the USA with an American flag on the side wall.

@joeymt33 I could not get over how "soft" my OEM tires are even with 13 psi in them. They push and roll (sidewall flex) more than my Roctane XD's do with 5 PSI. But I'm comparing that from a machine that weighs 600 lbs. less. Needless to say I will be upgrading rubber real soon.

Just an FYI there's no standard for ply rating on atv tires. So a 6 ply could be thicker than a 8ply ect. But I'm certain most factory tires are pretty much garbage. It is really apparent on the yamaha wolverine. The 26 bighorns, from the factory are not even close to the 26 bighorns I got aftermarket in size or tread comparison. When they say made for yamaha or honda ect. Watch out. Probably a disclaimer the tire manufacturer makes them say in advertising " bighorns "

One thing I found interesting when looking for tires was the load ratings. Most of the tires out there will not handle the weight of these bigger UTV's according to their charts. I was about to pull the trigger on a set of Bearclaw HTR's but after doing a little researching these tries were only rated for about 300 lbs a piece. At that rating they wouldn't even handle the weight of a empty Pioneer. Looking around a lot of the tires out there are rated for about the same. A little more info on these offroad tires that I found interesting is that ply rating only relates to the ply in the tread pattern and not the sidewall. The Bearclaw HTR's that I referenced have a 8 ply rating but the sidewalls are still 4 ply. I ended up buying a set of the Maxis Ceros and have been very pleased.

it was my understanding the ceros were 2 ply. I rode a ranger 900 with them. Really liked the tide

According to the Maxis website they are a 6 ply tire. I bought them for this reason and the Maxis quality. They were also a little cheaper then the Bighorns. They have done me very well with a little over 700 miles on them. At about the same mileage I had wore the stock fronts down to less then half and these are barely worn. I live in a little town in Idaho and ride the Pioneer 700 around town a lot.

Sob....maybe I was looking at a knock off then. Because I was strongly considering them and was reading about them on rocky Mountain my mistake.
