So getting ready to add a second battery and I see in several threads people moved and mounted the oil filler cap to the other side of the support bar.
Pics do not show how they actually mounted it. Can someone explain how they did it? IE using spacers and long bolts to go through the existing mount holes or drill and mount a new mount holes on the other side?

Thanks

Phil

Hi thanks so I am planning on making a mount like in your first pic and put it in a plastic battery box but want to be able to get at it to replace without removing the panels to get at like like your showing. Curious how muddy/messy does the battery get out in the open like that?

Unless you are running in mud deep enough to come through the doors it stays pretty clean. Just dusty steam spray that wipes off with a towel when you check oil.
