I put about 20 miles of hot and nasty asphalt miles on mine saturday night from the passenger seat. The whole time I was wiggling around trying to stay comfy in the heat and my knees kept hitting the dash. My thoughts every time I hit it was "no way I could deal with less knee room"

I keep this pelican box under the hood. I have winch remote, snatch block, small air compressor, tire plug kit, and some zip ties in it.
I like that! Unfortunately that's where my ez steer emu/cmu? Thingy is mounted!

I have found that 3 ammo boxes from Harbor Freight works great. If the seats are up they fit perfectly between the tailgate and the seats. When the seats are down I take two bungy straps, turn the ammo cans the other direction and feed the straps under the handles to the anchor points in the bed. I have been on some pretty rough trails and they stay in place. They may move a bit but not a lot. Plus they are waterproof. I can post some pics later when I get a chance. I also have a small tool kit under the hood. I have a deluxe and it fits in there fine. Between the the cans and the tool box I have everything I can think of that I might need on the trail.

Found the green Plano box at academy for $40. Also have a kolpin box and their website says it is $80 but I can't remember what I paid for it years ago. The kolpin box holds up very well. The plano is thinner plastic so I don't know how it's gonna do. Academy also had a smaller plano box for $20.

If not using the area under the driver’s seat for a second battery, it seems like prime real estate for a sealed ammo can storage area?

I think that might be a great idea Buckshot07. Just thinking out loud but maybe build some sort of frame out of angle iron or angled aluminum to hold them and bolt that down to the frame under the seat. You could lift the ammo cans out if you needed. Under the seat would allow for a much bigger ammo can too. The ones I use are a bit restrictive for what you can put in there. I do have everything I need but had to search for sized items that would fit in them. I like ammo cans because of their durability and being waterproof.

I have a small tool box up front under the hood that I keep a couple of essentials just in case I dont have my big box of junk. Found this at Rural King with an idea in my mind to be able to use the hooks on teh side to tie it down. Hold all I need and then some. Use paracord to hold it in and when I need to remove it the cord stretches just enough to loosen without untying. Deer will pile up nicely beside it too.
Dont giggle at my redneck ingenuity to get this beast doe in the back without a winch and without any strain on my old back either
. Actually the 2 ratchets worked perfect in a pinch although I have a better plan now. Used to be I would just climb in the bed and drag them in, I hurt too much for that now.
